Charity Pot: Meet the causes
All proceeds from every Charity Pot sold (minus the sales tax, which goes to the government) are donated to deserving, grassroots organisations working to promote human rights, animal welfare and environmental protection.
Here are six recently funded groups who are currently featured on Charity Pot Hand & Body Lotion lids in the UK and Ireland:
Supporting community groups fighting fracking across the UK. Frack Off is a national support network for community groups campaigning against fracking.
Providing safety and shelter. Encouraging positive rehabilitation. Educating future generations. The Retreat offers much needed support to all animals - farmed, domestic and wild. Our aims are to educate the public that all animals need commitment, love and respect,
Providing free veterinary care and emergency kennel space for homeless people. Street Paws aim to relieve animal suffering by providing free accessible veterinary care and emergency kennel space for dogs belonging to homeless people and those in crisis.
Campaigning for a rapid transition to 100% clean energy that benefits local communities. Power For People are running a national public engagement project to inform people and community groups about their campaign for the Local Electricity Bill and to mobilise communities to help increase Parliamentary support.
Provides free employment rights advice and representation to vulnerable people who live or work in Birmingham and who have no other source of help. They help clients who are facing disciplinary action, have not received the wages they are owed, or have been dismissed unfairly. It is important that people understand their employment rights and are able to enforce them.
RRE stands up for the human rights of refugees and displaced people. Refugee Rights Europe run evidence-based advocacy campaigns calling for assertive policy-action, which has the potential to address the root causes of suffering among refugees seeking protection in Europe.
