Dipropylene glycol is an odourless, colourless liquid used as a fragrance fixative and a carrier in perfumes.
Thanks to its solvent and carrier properties, dipropylene glycol is a lot used in cosmetics, especially in perfumes. It sticks to the fragrance molecules and helps them to disperse slowly, enhancing the strength of all the notes the perfume diffuses.
Dipropylene glycol also helps different essential oils, absolutes and fragrance materials to bind together, giving great control of viscosity.
